Brand Development & Reputation

Allen University

During the Yellow Jackets' historic transition to the NCAA Division II, I supported brand development for the Yellow Jackets.

Our athletic department staff enhanced community awareness of the university's athletic programs and expanded the Yellow Jackets' reach among alumni, recruits and Columbia residents by:

  • Creating live streams of men's and women's basketball games while COVID-19 protocols prohibited in-person fan attendance at the John Hurst Adams Gymnasium

  • Earning local media coverage to publicize Allen University as the latest HBCU to join the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC)

  • Distributing real-time box scores to visiting coaching staffs and building relationships with peer NCAA DII institutions

  • Archiving 2020-2021 basketball stats to Yellow Jackets website

  • Promoting track and field competitions through photography and digital media initiatives

  • Writing web articles promoting athletic department leaders

Sports PR Summit

The 2022 Sports PR Summit (SPRS) marked the first in-person iteration of the event since before the pandemic.

Leading a team of digital and social media strategists promoting the annual event, I enhanced the SPRS's national reputation and ability to attain professional sports commissioners and Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalists such as Tom Rinaldi as keynote speakers.

Researching global journalism, marketing, advertising and emerging media trends, I created our team's content calendar and delegated coverage responsibilities based on team members' areas of expertise.

Our social, web and internal communications content positioned the SPRS as the premier sports industry entity focused on this era's most relevant sports industry topics:

Boston University Center For Stuttering Therapy - Web Marketing and Fundraising

Supporting the Center for Stuttering Therapy (CST) at Boston University, I increased speech therapy clients by 115% while creating an updated website and promoting the Center's growing services.

Specifically, I positioned the CST and university as academic leaders in stuttering research and advocacy. Revamping the CST website, I created and maintained new pages to highlight the Center’s client-driven approach, outline its cinical resources, proactively answer FAQs, and spotlight clients’ experiences.

Likewise, I also established the Center's director as an academic thought leader in stuttering research and the Center as a key partner in legislation expanding healthcare access and insurance coverage for speech therapy services.

Crafting the Center's first-ever BU Giving Day fundraising page, I demonstrated the Center's commitment to enhancing quality of life for people who stutter of all ages – at no cost to families across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
